Having trouble with my lift going to the top
at engine startup and there is complete loss of control. It goes down when engine turned off. Took the top inspection plate off the hydr housing. When the draft control is slowly pulled back(rearward), the linkage pulls the draft spool right out of the sleeve past the "C" clip groove. The C clip is missing. The spool extends out of the sleeve almost an 1 1/2 inches when the control is pulled fully back and the first set of lands
are fully out(the lands closest to the linkage attach point). At full out you can see the second set of lands on the spool, but it doesn't quite come out all togeather.

My manual shows the draft spool's first set of lands should be right behind the C clip for all positions of Position Control (Lift, down, neutral).
Position control is all I'm interested in. The manual shows the draft is de-activated, and the draft spool stays put behind the C clip not moving for any hand controlling of the position lever until pressed in by the implement plunger.

If I re-installed the C clip, pulling back the draft control again would yank it out of the groove I'm sure.

I thought perhaps the implement plunger linkage may be too far rearward(short) and should be adjusted longer as this is the pivot point, but I can't see anywhere where this linkage is adjustable and what would cause it to come out of adjustment. I'm almost ready to bolt in the plunger linkage permamently as I don't use draft anyway. My draft control is on the plow.

Thanks for the help.
