Dad broke the nose cone on his starter. I removed the inspection cover, and none of the pieces fell out. I then rotated the engine by a bar through the starter mount hole, no pieces fell out then either. will they come out after installing a new starter through the bottom ? Or what do we do? Thanks, Mark..

Mark, I would really look around for those pieces if they are very big at all they could really cause problems there is not muck clearence between the flywheel and the housing and I would be afraid of it getting wedged in there and breaking the housing out or screwing up the clutch. There is a flat area by the throw-out bearing that maybe where it is laying. Good luck and keep trying Brian.
