I am restoring a B Farmall. I started at the front and working back. I finally have gotten to the rear end. I am having trouble finding the seals for the PTO and the rear axle. I need the number of the inner and outer seal on the axle tube. The seal # on the final axle out shaft. And the PTO seal #. I have taken the seals to a local supplier with no results. He says they are no longer made. I guess I need the numbers for the "new" type seals. Will someone please help?

I posted the seal number for the transmission seal and the final drive seal for the Super A a while back. I think these will be the same for the B, so search the archives. I did not replace the axle seals, so don't have that number. However, go to website cngco.com and you can order them there.

Mike, you can do this. Measure the outside diameter of where the seal goes in, and the outside diameter of the shaft. Take these measurements to a Bearing Supply store. They don't have to have any part numbers or brand names of tractors. And it most likely will be a lot cheaper than IH or JD or whatever. Steve.

Mike, If you have the IH part numbers they can be cross referenced to C/R numbers at:www.chicago-rawhide.com/catalogs/457012. Most any auto parts store can use the C/R # to get the seals if available. I believe the pto seal is C/R # 13865.

They are made, your supplier just can't cross reference them -- but use geneb's numbers or get them from Case-IH.

If you go to a CASE-IH dealer he should be able to get them for you, may even have them in stock.
