John Im putting one in a 706 the rails are shorter than a 806 frame soI have to lenghen mine.If you can find a 1456 hood and cast grill they will work better because their longer than 56 & 06 gives a litle more room.If you use the 06 frame the front motor plate on the 466 motor has to be narrowed the difference between the width of the 66 frame and the 06 frame I used a sawsall with a good square cut.But if you use 66 frames you have to add shims between frame and front bolster. You can go either way.New holes have to be drilled in 06 rails for front 466 motor plate forward and down a little bit from orignal holes.

Will the plate on the back of the 806 block bolt onto the 466.I need to have everything ready to go because i'm doing it at work and can't tie the shop up to long.

I know of someone who made the same switch only it was a 1206.They took a piece of square tubing and capped the ends and welded proper fittings on either end to match the outlets. It will work with the origional frame rails but it will be a tight fit.If you use 66 frame rails you will have to lengthen the hood.

A radiator out of a 826D will work for that, I have both a 856, and a 826D and the lower ports are opposite from each other. Hope this helps, Chad
