My H runs rich at idle. I must set adjusting screw so loose that I am afraid it will vibrate out. I have soaked the carb twice during the last month in cleaning solution for 24 hours each time. After the first cleaning, I rebuilt carb with the original parts and noticed some minor improvement. I reassembled the carb today after the second cleaning with a new overhaul kit. Today it ran its best with the adjusting screw completely out of the carb. I adjusted the float a little low on purpose to see if it would make a difference. That did not seem to help. Each time before reassemblying, I used a wire to clean passages in the carb and blew them out with compressed air. The tractor runs and pulls good from just above idle speed to full throttle. I can't get it to idle without blowing black smoke. Changing the timing does not seem to help . My H has coil ignition. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to say this but you still have a carb problem, if you can pull the main out and it still runs its still clogged. I had that problem and ended up getting a new carb becuause of it
