I'm putting my H back together now and I need to replace the round gaskets on the posts to mount the gas tank. The ones I have fell to pieces when I removed the tank.

I simply used a old tire and cut the circles out of the side wall. A little hint, It is easiest to cut the center hole for the stud before you cut the diameter of the circle. These worked fine for me. Good luck

A tube liner from a truck tire would make better gaskets than an inner tube, as it is a thicker and denser material.

I think that just about any tire shop would give you a used liner just so they don't have to dispose of it.

OEM also carries them.

Just made three this week. You can buy the ones that are already cut or the sheet of rubber and cut your own. Try JT Tractor salvage for this. They are $2.00 each.

If you are not concerned about originality, you can cut some rounds out of an old inner-tube about the same size as the ones you removed. May want to go two or three rounds on each of the three studs as these are there to cut down vibration.

If you want original, OEM tractor parts has them and I think there is some on ebay right now as well which could also be from OEM. They are listing a lot of their stuff on ebay at the moment.

Good luck.

they were nealy ¼ inch thick. I have cut them out of rubber belting or used several thickneses of inner tube. it don't need to be pretty cuz oce the tank is on they won't show
