Hey 70D, here are some N.E. Kansas prices for an F-20. Iron pile junker $100 to $200. Rough looking but runs and drives around yard, $500. Runs, good tires, and pretty straight and complete $750. Runs great, really good tires, and repainted and looks new $1000. Completely restored would be upward from there but note that a seller of one that is completely restored would unlikely see invested money out of it. Don't know why but that is the way it seems to be for most of the restored tractors of that era. Just cost to much for new parts to do a ground up restoration for resell I guess.

Parts are pretty easy to come by. Rices, Parts of the Past, Kinsingers, and Berkshire all have NOS or reproduction. Used parts are pretty easy to come by also.

I'd keep looking. An unrestored not running F20 is an easy find and should bring under a grand in most areas. Running, unrestored F20's are posted in the adds almost weekly for around $1500. They are a neat old tractor, but one that is not running could run big bucks to bring back to life. If it needs sleeves, your looking at about $200 a hole and $150 or so each for the main bearings. There should be a serial number stamped on the frame rail (carb side of the tractor) near the bell housing. You can probably wire brush that area and get the serial number.

F-20 193X; 800 to 2000. Condition is everything and if you get the fever for it make an offer and see if the owner will do the deed.

I checked with my uncle "the tractor collector" and he thought (he is in NW, IA) that unless there is $1000-$1500 in gold coins on it somewhere it is over priced.

Unless it is some rare tractor. Again, gold trim would be a plus. Maybe gold rims?? Ha Ha.:-)

You didn't say what model, but unless it is VERY rare 500-$1000 is more like it for a well used unrestored F series.

It's your decision, if you feel that it is too high, then it's too high.
