I found an ad for a 1938 Farmall F-14 in my local newspaper and was wondering if it would be worth investing money in. They have done started a restoration on it and it says the motor is tore apart for restoration. Says its in building condition. they want $500. is this a good price???

FROM AN EARLIER POST: The easiest way to get this info is to look at what's there and what isn't. A complete F-12 or 14 with no lift mechanism that "may or may not be" stuck would fetch bewteen $250-$500 around here. I paid $400 for mine (a 1934) and it was very stuck. A neighbor of mine got a 36', unstuck, for $350. Take a look at what the tractor needs and compare that with prices for replacements. If you'd like an excel spreadsheet of all the costs associated with my 34' F-12, send me an email address and I'll send it to you. Keep in mind that my rebuild was a ground-up job and I left no bolt unturned. You may just wish to get yours running and figure a cost range from there. Good luck either way! Zak
