If anyone could let me know the recommended fluids and capacities. Also if it's ok to use regular antifreeze. I've only run the tractor for a couple hours today but noticed that everytime the governor starts to open up under a load the engine starts loping. Anything I should know before I start tearing into the carburator? Thanks

Stoney

Crankcase - above +32F - #30 preferred, 15w40 acceptable. It holds 5.5 quarts with the filter.

Transmission & Differential - HTF meeting spec. MS-1207 (hydraulic oil) HyTran, Mobilfluid 424, Chevron 1000 fluid, etc. - it holds 4 quarts in the transmission & differential - it holds 4.5 quarts if it has a PTO - it holds 5 quarts if it has both a PTO and a belt pulley.

Final drives and hydraulic system use the same HTF spec. Final drives hold 1.375 quarts EACH. Hydraulic system holds 3.375 quarts.

The cooling system holds 15 quarts. I don't believe it requires any special anti-freeze there.

Fuel tank - 11 gallons.

Winter temperatures, light load, high intake manifold vacuum, loping or surging when governor opens up, sounds like a classic case of ice buildup interfering with movement of throttle plate.

Commonly known as carburetor icing. Check out that possibility before you disassemble anything.

Likely the loping engine is the governor, not the carburetor. The bumper spring on the governor probably needs adjusting. You need to get a sevice manual from Binder Books.

Many thanks, I'll definitely get the manuals.
