yes i looked all over it today and that was indeed a name plate its a henderson i just never noticed the plate

Yeah, it does look like a Henderson, I had one too but traded it for an IH #20, a lot better than the Henderson, I think. The darn thing just had too much money on it in welding rods, lol. Here is a picture of it.

Hi, from your picture it looks like the Henderson loader we had on our C then on SC back in the 50s. Does it have a PTO driven hydraulic pump with control lever on it? Yours has about as much welding rod applied to it as the one we had.

its hydraulic lever is on the same shaft as the controls its a 51 super C i have a picture of the bucket but i dont know where the pump is

i hate to be thick but i never noticed it, there are no lights in the barn and i never saw it thanks for pointing it out or who knows how long it could have been although i believe thats a place of raw metal ill be sure to look next itime im at the farm

Hi, it still looks similar to the Henderson loader that we had. I don't know why we had the PTO driven hydraulic pump unless it was because the original C did not have enough hydraulic capacity to run a loader. The SC did have live hydraulics which was better than the PTO driven pump as the SC didn't have live PTO, the hydraulics would only work with the clutch engaged. So if you wanted to lift loader while stopped, put transmission in neutral and let the clutch out. Clutch didn't wear out but pilot bearing would only last about 3 years.
