Hi guys, I have A 1944 H. It has A 1 1/8 PTO shaft. Can I get an over-run clutch to fit this that has 1 3/8 splines? An adapter so to speak? Thanks

a newholland store will be the best place to find one. the old 9 N fords had the 11/8 spline. I had to put one on a 41 H we had.

Yes... your neighborhood tractor store or ranch store should have one. I wonder why your 44 H would have the 1 1/8. I didn't think they were interchangable from the early H's. Maybe it was optional... anyone know?

Dave, This H also has the early style radiator & the flip up seat.I am wondering about it myself. Maybe someone put A '44 engine in it.It does have the metal shifter knob though.

Just for curiousity, check your casting dates.. The letter N is for 1944. J is 1940. Maybe you have a really mixed bag.
