Just curious to see what kind of tractors every else ownes on this IH-FARMALL forum and there favorite IH tractor. Today,I own a 1206,two 806's, 706 & 856 all diesels. Have owned a H,M,SMD,504 diesel,B450 diesel, 560 diesel.

All three of these tractors are favorites of mine! I got em because of the memories being on the farm 50 years ago. We had tractors just like these.

1937 F-20, 1945 H, 1930 Case Model C.

I grew up with the F20, M, H, C, 200 and cub. I now have a ford 8N, an H, F20N, cub, and 300U. My favorite has always been the H, although I have fond memories of the F20.

Grew up driving a Ford 9N and 1949 JD B. I own a 40'9N, 48'8N, 53'Oliver 77 RC WF, 56'Farmall 400 NF, 61' IH 460 NF. I like them all, but the 77 RC and the Farmll 400 are the best looking and best working of the bunch.

I currently own a 1962 560 gas, 1952 77 Oliver, and a 1937 A JD. Started farming with a 706 LP gas. Between my dad and uncle the tractors they owned that I grew up with were 2 MD's, 2 450D's, 1 SM, 1 400, 1 350U, 1 460U, the 560 I currently own, 806, 1206, and a 1456. The 1206 was one of my favorites, but I enjoy the 560 with the Fasthitch and matching implements. I also worked for an IH dealer for 4 years and hauled tractors for them, so drove many IH tractors. We had a Super C that we moved machinery around with, that I thought was very handy.

I have a 39 M It was given to me by my neighbor who was a produce farmer i rebuilt the motor and repainted it he passed away almost 10 years ago i wish he could see it now.

Growing up on a small farm in VT, we had an n series Ford - quite a step up from the horse and doodlebug. I barely remember a JD with steel wheels. The neighbors bought a 300U in the mid 50's and what a tractor that was, compared to the Ford. Many years later I bought a 300U at an auction, for old times sake. I plow a little snow with it in the winter and drag out some logs in the summer. It still is a stout tractor.

I would have to say my favorite IH tractor would have to be my widefront F-12 with a powerlift, that is on steel, along with my F-12 tri-cycle. Presently I own 3 H's,1 F-20, 3-F-12's,1 B, 2 Cubs, 3 McCormick 10-20's and 2 15-30's, and of course you have to have green mixed in with all the red. My JD's I own-2 A's 1 B, and 1 D. My favorite out of all these would have to be my 1927 Johnny Popper model D. gotta love the sound!!

Well the IH in our shed consist's of a 42H, two 43H's, a 51H, a47M, a 51M, a 73 766diesel, and a 1926 15-30 McCormick Deering. We also have a 7120 CaseIH. We have 5 Cub Cadets including a 1961 Original, 1969 73, a 70, 71, and a 122. Of all the tractors we have my favorite is the 47M. It and the 51H were both bought new by my great uncle, and my dad and I are only the second owners of them. My favorite dream farmalls would be a b450 diesel, or my second choice would be a SMTA Diesel.

Got to be the AV i am just finishing. Only about 12 in this country abd only maybe 3 restored and quite nice to have something that no one else has. Disadvantage is that you need a ladder to climb on to it (Just about). Followed by the BN which is in the same rare catergory in New Zealand then the A and then the Cub.

I have a 53 Super H and a 52 Super C. Like them both but for what i do around my place, the Super C is the "keeper."

Larry, At the present time I own a 52'Farmall "H" and a 40'"A". I grew up with a 39'"A" 47'"MD", 48'"C" 50'"W9" in addition to a 36'"Cat D-4", 43'JD "B", 48'Ford 8-N. I now, since retirement, help my cousin who has an IH 786, 2 966's a 1456, a 4568 4x4, a Massy 1500 4x4, and a White 4-210. My favorite of all these is and has always been the Cat D-4, I guess mainly because as small kid I used to drool over the day that My Dad and Grandfather would let me drive it by myself. My Grandfather finally set the date, that being as he put it "The day you can start it, is the day you can drive it" With a rope pull pony motor, I was 11 yrs old before I had enough a** to pull that rope hard enough to start the pony motor. I still had to get the diesel going which wasnt easy for an 11 yr old kid to accomplish, but the day I started the pony motor, I also started the diesel. Grandpa reluctantly kept his word. What a thrill. I did like the W-9 mainly because it made more noise than any other tractor I have ever driven, and it was a hog, and I now enjoy driving the 4568 my cousin has, but for sheer thrill, nothing comes close to the Cat. I learned on the 39 A, at the age of 6 but Pa wouldnt let me drive that in the field by myself until I was 7.

Larry: I farmed for many years, and in my lifetime I have owned at least one tractor from every series from 1940s to 1976. There is no question I still favour the looks of the letter series Farmalls. However, the 56 series is a very close second on looks and far superior to the letter series on operation. 56 series were king of the land. Just my opinion.

right now i own a 57 350 diesel my favorite, 49 c,41 A, 47 H, and yes 37 john deere A , john deere 40 crawler, and newly aquired 76 ford 8600

things are well in danby 32 hours in the last two days from snow that wernt supposed to fall well most fell in dorset where i work for the highway dept you can never have enout toys

Favorite is the '44 H that I grew up on, Dad bought it used in '52. I have two more H's, but 1 is a "parts only" basket case. I also have a '53 Super C, a '50 Super A & 3 SC Cases. #1 son has '44 H that my Dad bought new in '45 & a '36 F-12. They are all GREAT tractors! (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Hey you guys.
The only IH I got is a 1974 Farmall 1568, no cab.
I like it so much. I use it for cultivation in the
fall and moldboardplowing. I also take it to
tractorpulls in the standard class. It is a lot of
fun to kick everybody elses asses with a tractor
of that age, and everybody else there has tractors
being 5 years old or newer.

Only Farmall I have is a 46 B. As a kid in the 50's I used it to rake hay, haul in hay, run it on the hay rope, then I made the mistake of getting old enough to work in the barn. Still love to drive it and take the granddaughter for rides on it.

I own 1937 F-20N, 1944 Farmall H, 1946 Farmall B, 1947 Farmall A and an 1949 Farmall M. My favorite one is my F-20. My dad and mom bought it for me just before my mom died. Sentimental value.

Currently own a 1456,(2)1206's and a 460 gas.Grew up on am M Farmall and a 460 diesel.Owned an 856 from 1974-86 that was indestructible.

I'm a "suburb slicker" who grew up on a 1955 Cub Lo-Boy. The only tractor I own is a 1954 Super H distillate version. My favorite Farmall is the
H/Super H, for my money the handsomest farm tractor ever designed. Perfectly proportioned, Raymond Loewy at his best.

I also inherited a tractor from my grandpa, I am farmallman's cousin.Mine is a 1952 farmall M W\F

It is my favorite, but my other favorites are a 806,966,1066,1206,1468. All my dream tractors!

My brother Jim and I have 28 letter series Farmalls ,1939 thruough 1954. We like them all but the favorite is a 48 C bought new by our grandfather. The secone favorite is a Super M like our dad bought in 1952

I own a Farmall M that belonged to my grandfather and then my father. It is now being restored and will be painted. Of course, this is my favorite.

When I was a little boy I can remember riding on it. One time I came up missing. They found me sitting on the old tractor pretending I was driving. At the time I was about 2 1/2 years old.

Planning to go to shows and take my grandkids for drives around the farm on the Farmall M. Hope it will be in the family for a long time.

I own a 1948 Farmall Cub, inherited from my Grandfather. If i could buy another farmall, i would want a W-9 or a WD-9, basically a big brute.
My favorite is a Cub because of all its attachments/jobs it can do

Right now I have a H, a McCormick W4 (for sale in the photo ads) and a 200 with loader and fast hitch, In my Barn is also a A, but its the neighbors, also will be for sale soon. My H is my favorite though. I paid 100 bucks for it out of a guys yard, it handed ran in 25 years, I put gas in it and had it running in 20 minutes, I have only changed tires on it and now replaced the clutch. nothing else has been done.,...Jim

A 1940 H with a woods belly mower, a 1950 H with a McCormick #31 loader so I can push snow, A Johnny Cash H(I think it was assembled in a salvage yard, none of the numbers match), a 1940 M, painted yellow(an ex county roads tractor), and a 1941 I-4(patiently waiting for reassembly).

I grew up on SC, cultivated many acres two rows at a time. Plowed beans or corn in the morning, removed cultivators and raked hay in the afternoon, then hooked it to the trolley rope to pull hay up in the barn. We also had MD, two M's,an H, B, two 450D's, a 560G and an 856D. The C, 450, and the 856 were my favorited.

Growing up on a Missouri farm, I operated at one time or other the following: 22-36, F-20, M, SMTA, C, 340 row crop, 560G, 806D, 1256, 756D (German),1086 and a TD15. The only one I still own is the 340 which is being brought back to life now. Favorites; mowing prairie hay with the SMTA with an umbrella and most anything with the 756. The 756 was by far the best of the lot because I used it for everything and never did a thing to the engine in over 9000 hours.

I have a '47H{dad bought in early '50s},a '50H,a '54 Super H,a '58 460, '50 A Johny Popper[just like the one that my Dad bought new when he started farming the farm where I now live]. They are all my favorits because they are mine.

I own 3 1466's one has a TA. Most people shy away from those where I live. I also own a 1026 Hydro, and a 1957 100 that I have been looking for a nose piece and a grill for over a year.
