First of all thanks to all respond when I might have a question with an obvious answer. This question is about an H I just bought. I have noticed differences in some rim design. Some have more step down to the edge from the center than others. Where there more than one style and if not which one is correct?

Both are correct, I see more of the "sloped" version but I think the stepped ones look better

the style is determined by who ih bought the rims from. there are a lot more of the stepped ones than the sloped ones, but either would be correct.it has been my experience that the stepped ones are usually eleven inch rims and the sloped ones are more likely to be ten inches wide but not always.

Assuming you have 38 inch rims (40's were also available, but I've never seen one), there was only one, with one step down from the edge to the center, or two if you count the place where the tire fits. That is not to say that aftermarket rims of a different design won't fit. There was a discussion about this the other day, may be in the archives. There is some confusion about this because wheels/rims off other tractors may fit. But what I am talking about is the rim that has been used since the H was first produced. I have a 41 H and a 53 Super H with the same rims, also a 47 M (they are one inch wider).
