I recently bought a W6. It's been a while since I have been around older IH tractors. In order to check oil level, do I turn check valves clockwise or couterclockwise. I can't find this simple direction in the operators manual. I remember twisting one off when I was working for a farmer years ago. It wasn't hard to do either.

they turn counter clockwise to open but they are left hand thread so the valve goes in as you open it. does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense. I knew there was something different about these little guys. I also know they are easily broken off. Been there-done that with an H!

Thanks for your response.
