Does anyone have drive train information on a 2544. The guy claims it was stuck in gear. He said it was shuttle shift. He started taking tin off around the steering to get at the top of tranny and decided he had to split the tractor. Do these have a clutch and a actual gear shift tied to shift forks and gears?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Kent

Hugh, It has been bad weather here and I have not gotten back over there to start the haggling and see if I can talk him down a little. I cant even get a truck, tractor or trailer in there. The ground is very wet and only frozen @1" and I don't want to tear up his yard. I will post my findings as soon as I get her home. Kent

Kent: I see you have figured out what model the tractor is. Which shift is stuck in gear the shuttle or the main transmission? Most IH will have worn linkage rather than something worn internally. You probably should be able to free it without splitting tractor.
