In 2001 (I think) bought parts for M from Campbells Used Tractor Parts in Lawrenceburg TN. The tractor we took parts off of had the 2 hole top and had been converted back to forward travel so it would have shiter rails you need. He had at least one low drum picker on M at that time and it would have top but not shifter rails.

Think I had it backwards M with low drum picker will have all parts you need to convert high drum tractor to foward travel.

Look in the cotton states. The one row, low drum picker mounted on M, 400, 450, had a rh shifter. The diff. was turned over so the tractor ran backwards.

Jim

If I am understanding your question correctly.
You have two locations to apply your shifter, if that is the case all you have to do is find a 400 or 450 in the junk yard, they have the plate you may need

Jim, I don't know where you are located, but what you are looking for I believe is configured for a cotton harvester, or a fork lift version of the model M.
