Identifying an H distributor

The body of my distributor has the number 353898R1 stamped into it and the flange the clamps lock down on has (I believe, these were viewed with an inspector's mirror) HC5-7579. As it's running reasonably well now, I'm not going to move it or tear into it until we get a long spell without a forecast of snow. In the meantime, what kind/type of distributor is this? Is there another location I should look for either the IH or Delco logo? Are these numbers enough to identify the degrees max advance it goes to? I hear some are 20 degrees for the firecrater pistons and others are 28 or 30 degrees max advance. Since this distributor may have not been touched (except for new tuneup parts) would it be a good idea to replace, what the diagram calls, distributor governor springs? While I'm not yet getting the reading I'd expect using a dynamic timing light, the timing mark is showing a surprisingly steady position when shot at both low and high RPMs. Am I correct in thinking this is a good indicator that the shaft and housing probably aren't too worn?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave -- I can find no such distributor part number in my Case-IH tune-up manual.
