I had heard from some of you that you thought the knocking in my engine was from worn piston pins/wrist pins. I was looking in my parts book and I see that there are bronze piston pin bushings. Do you think that these would wear down before the pins or not. Thanks for the help. And also, did farmall make a lift that allowed you to use the pto also. Or was it to where, if you used the pto u had to take the power lift off, and if you used the power lift, you couldnt use the pto

The pin bushings will most likely wear faster than the pin under normal conditions. Remember that the new bushings will need sized to fit the pin so a little pin wear can be compensated for.
Have you checked the rod bearings? These will wear faster than the wristpins and cause some knocking if they are out of adjustment. Another thing to check is the main crank bearings. An easy check for the front is to squeeze the fan belt and see if the crankshaft moves up and down. This condition makes a rumble/knocking sound as well. I do not think that there was a lift available so that you could use the pto at the same time.
