I would like to know the wrench size for the hub nut to undue the gang on an IH 480 Disk. I am in Houston Tx for the next couple of days and have an opportunity to buy a large wrench but do not know the nut size for the gangs. It is probably 1.5 to 2 inches.

IowaChuck, Short of going and measureing the nuts on that plow there isn't anyway of knowing. My past experience has found that a 36 in. or longer pipe wrench W/ a cheater pipe on it always worked very well. You will need a pipe wernch on the back too.Hpoe this helps.
Later,
John A.

John: Exactly, and it really dosn't matter how cheap the gang wrench is, a big pipe wrench has a lot of uses.

Chuck: The 480 had quite a range in sizes, they may not all be the same.
