I can buy a nice 1939 narrow F-20, but the serial number tag is missing, which is a real bummer for me. I don't like a tractor with a missing tag. I think that there are repros' out there, but how good are they? I have seen some poor reproductions on some tractors and would not put one on if it looks cheap. Anyone out there have any experience with these repro tags? Is there more than one vendor making these? Do they look good? Are they made for the F-20? Thanks in advance!

D&D Graphics makes excellent reproductions. They will reproduce any tag you send them (serial #, operating instructions, etc.), and they have made a number of them for me for different machines. 840 12th St. NW, Mason City, IA 50401, phone number 641-424-2535.

just my humble opinion mike but I don't want one on my tractor. if it ain't original i just have to get along without it. Congrats on the NT. now I better get busy and work on mine, and yes, mine is short the tag too, but let me tell you something. the frame and the engine numbers match so even though the block is cracked that is the block that I am going to use, little things are important to me. Hey BTW I got your check today!

Glad you got the check! I am working on transportation. I agree with you pretty much about the tag. I know that any repro will not look like the original no matter how well done. It's just that when I look at a tractor, normally the first thing I look for is the serial number tag to see how original it is. It just looks so "naked" without a tag!
