Seems like I heard somewhere Case/Int. were considering making 140 tractor versions or something similar to the 140 style again. Course probably be 3 point. Anyone else heard any talk like this or is it just talk? Wish they would make 140 again in same version gas etc. cultivators, bet it would still sell...

Avery: It is a shame, however I doubt you will ever be able to buy a new true likeness of a 140 again. I personally would like to see all the 56 series reintroduced again. I would even come out of retirement. But, IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN. Our society has become so gung hoo happy about law suits, tractors have to be built IDIOT PROOF.

It's the same with cars and pickups. Too bad we just couldn't weed out the idiots, then the rest of society could have new vehicles for about 60% of what they now pay. Look at the hit the tire companies took. Nothing more than people driving the roads with under inflated tires.

So if you want a new Farmall, a new REAL FARMALL, you will have to talk your local elected representive into placing a bounty on a certain segment of society.

Case IH is coming out with a new Farmall line soon, maybe that is what you heard. I haven't seen the tractors yet but there is a teaser for them on the Case IH web site.
