I had oil leaking from the brake shoe cover on my m, after i removed the cover i found the seal was leaking, i was removing the bolts in the bearing cover when i noticed the bearing retainer was broken, someone had tried to remove it and broke the retainer where the bolt hole for the puller goes,so i was unable to use the puller in fear i may break it again, useing wedges i have almost got it out but now it is stuck. does anyone have any ideas how to get it out?

IT sounds like you are trying to pull the bull pinion assembly, which contains the seal. STOP The inner roller bearing flange will break off when it contacts the bull gear. I just went through the bull pinion assemblies on an H and some of the guys gave me a lot of good advice. Look under the posts titled END PLAY or END PLAY DISCOVERED. If you need something more post again. People are always eager to help, and I will share what little I know.
