I RECEINTLY PURCHASED A "53" SUPER M AND THE BELLY PUMP HAD BEEN REMOVED. I ASKED PREVIOUS OWNER ABOUT IT'S WEAR-ABOUTS AND HE SAID THAT HE REMOVED IT YEARS AGO BECAUSE IT DIDN'T WORK RIGHT AND LEAKED BAD. WELL, I GOT ONE OUT OF A STRAIGHT M AND IT WOULDN'T GO ALL THE WAY UP--LACKED ABOUT 1"--THE HOUSING HITS THE FLYWHEEL--THE HOUSING HAS THE SERIAL # 5027-E ON IT. I'VE BEEN TOLD THIS IS THE WRONG ONE. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME THE RIGHT HOUSING NUMBERS? AND IF I CAN GET ONE OUT OF SAY A 400 OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE OUT OF ANOTHER SUPER? THE SERIAL # OF THE TRACTOR IS S-16285.
THANKS
KEN

Ken I looked at my pumps again and the 5028E pump has the 45 degree slope. I just got lucky and pulled pump from early M that had late pump. Casting code still looks like K though, another mystery.

Ken I have a belly pump still in my 53 Super M. It works fine and has had the pressure set up on it. I will take $100.00 plus shipping for it if you are interested. We are changing to live pump on ours. Tim

DO YOU KNOW THE CASTING #'S (EXAMPLE -5027-E) AND PUMP #'S AND IF IT HAS THE OFF-SET/SORT OF STEP ON THE REAR OF THE HOUSING NEXT TO THE FLYWHEEL? WHAT IS YOUR SUPERS M'S - SERIAL # - ON THE SIDE OF THE TRACTOR ID PLATE? WHAT WOULD BE THE COST - $$$ - FOR SHIPPING TO 44890???

Ken I am not sure of the casting number as we still have not removed it from the belly. Been busy cleaning the barn out for the year. I know we are running a 12 inch clutch in it and it is a tight fit coming out and going back in with it. Serial of the tractor is: SM HTET F 29691 CJ. As far as shipping, where is 44890? With acess to a trucking company I may know someone heading your way. Sorry to be so long getting back to you. Tim

Some late M along with supers have the one you need. At front lower part of reservoir where the one you have has a sort of step the one you needs
slopes down at near a 45 degree angle. This was done to clear 12 inch clutch instead of 11 inch
clutch.

YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT ON TRACK!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT SERIAL #'S THAT WOULD BE ON THE CASTING?? I'VE LOOKED AT MANY CASTINGS/PUMPS AND FOUND A LOT LIKE THE ONE THAT I HAVE THAT DOESN'T FIT AND SOME THAT ARE OUT OF THE MODEL H WHICH ARE A LOT SMALLER. I FOUND A COUPLE THAT WERE STRAIGHT - WITH-OUT THE STEP AS YOU MENTIONED BUT NONE YET WITH THE 45 DEGREE ANGLE YOU TALK ABOUT. ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT YEAR AND MODEL (SUPER M OR STRAIGHT M) I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR? THANKS

Ken the # you need on reservoir part is 5027EE older ones that will not clear clutch are 5027ED or lower letters. I have found 5027EE on 52 Ms and all super Ms that use belley pump. Most have a
X or Y code although I have saw at least one with code of 12 # W.

I have pump out of SM SN F21257J and went out and checked numbers. I pulled this pump out of early M several years ago and has worked fine. Pump number is 5028E and casting code looks like 8 2 K. Have another pump that I think came out of SM (not sure though) and it is 5027E could not find casting code top of the pumps look identical to me. M could have had SM pump and casting code is X but I wire brushed it and it sure looks like K.

THANKS ACCORDING TO MY SOURCES, THE SERIAL # YOU GAVE IS A "53" SUPER M RIGHT?? THIS OTHER PUMP YOU MENTIONED WITH #'S 5027-E YOU THINK CAME OUT OF A SUPER M, IS THE SAME AS THE ONE THAT WOULDN'T FIT UP IN MINE. YOU MENTIONED A CASTING CODE OF POSSIBLE X OR K , IS THAT BEHIND THE 5027-E CASTING #?? WE'LL FIGURE OUT THIS PROBLEM YET!!!!! !!!!
THANKS
LATER

Ken: I have come across that problem fo straight M's as well and I believe the numeral part of the part number is the same for the different belly pump housings. It is the Letter after the numbers which is different(I.E. 5027DBX vs. 5027E). Note: this is just an example. I don't know if the boys in the office still have that information but give 1/800/248/2955 a try next week and see if they can help you. I wish I could remember, but it has been several years since we delt with this, and after a while all the other numbers sort of melt together in my head. Good luck!

THANKS FOR THE FOLLOW-UP. I HAVE COME ACROSS THIS EXAMPLE OF EXTRA LETTERS BEHIND THE 5027-E (LIKE THE ONE THAT DIDN'T FIT HAS A SORT OF STEP OUT LIP) IN MY SCOUTING FOR A DIFFERENT HOUSING. I TRIED TO MEASURE THE HOUSINGS TO COMPARE WITH THE ONE THAT DIDN'T FIT AND FOUND VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO HOUSINGS. I WILL CHECK WITH THE 1-800 # YOU GAVE ME NEXT WEEK FOR A TRY WITH THEM, AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!
