Well, Talk about positioning oneself in life. I have two tractors inside the shed, and my car is stuck in a show drift outside the shed. I'm sitting here waiting for the neighbor to come over with his tractor to pull my car out of the snow bank. Not much preplanning here, eh?

Paul: And to think less than 24 hours ago you and I were headed for Mars.

Hugh....Dont give up on the Mars idea. Read one of the threads I entered and see the plan I've come up with on how we can start our farming operation there without even having to take our tractors there unless we choose to.

That's Funny! As much trouble as I have gettin where I need to be here on Earth, I hate the thought of trying to get my stuff to reach Mars!

Scotty, WE probably had about 8 inces of snowfall total, but Theres only a single strand barbed wire fence to hold back the drifting from two townships away, thus I had drifts of over 1 1/2 feet that decided to grace my driveway.

Get a Subaru, that's what we did. On the other hand, sounds like my tractor is more useless in the snow than yours and your neighbor's. What's the secret, chains? Damn, they're expensive.

Will the regular ladder tread do? I've got 13.6 - 28s, but they are fairly new (deep) ag treads.

Only $162.37.

On the other hand, took me two months to convince my wife to let me get a $200 rear blade.

Joe, Actually the duals on that 1456 were spinning on the icy road as it pulled the car. We made it, but the "useless" factor was a near reality.

I purposely built my shop with doors at both ends, one at the front for the cars, and one at the rear for the tractors. My H with the loader and blade is sitting right inside that back door, ready to be driven around to the front to open up the driveway.

Rusty, Had I built the poleshed myself, I would have indeed had front and back doors, but the guy that owned the place before me, had put a heated (woodstove) workshop at the rear, besides I would have to also chop down an apple tree that would block any rear door. I like Kelly, am considering building an estension to one side to store the tractors. Gotta sell the Missus on the idea though, ane we all know how that goes.

Didnt take me long to fill up my space.
I have 2 100 foot pole barns full, 2 car garage full and another garage full.
I think next summer I am going to add a over hang to the back of one of my 100 footers. Just to store my Haying stuff.

They say a man has as much stuff as he has room for, plus 10%. I filled the barn long ago, and then filled 4 box trailers, a box truck, and a shed. You should see my house. No woman to complain, so lots of stuff.

Kelly, I do have some of my priorities straight. Dry tractors, wet cars. To accomplish this, however, I am handed the snow scraper on a regular basis by the Missus to clean and de-ice a car that I seldom if ever drive.
