I need to take the front pump out of my 806. I have had one out years ago,but forgot which bolts to take out. I know I have to leave the four that holds the pump to the mcv cover but do I remove all the rest and also is there a spring somewhere that might fall out and a o-ring. I don't do this every day and I forget sometimes, My wife says all the time anymore. It does have a TA. Any help appricated.

Larry At the lower right back corner there is a little spring and white nylon check valve if you loose it you will have no steering. some times the oil will push it out and if you don't see it you will have problems that is the only thing I can think of to look for.

The 4 bolts that go all the way through the assembly to the pump should have copper washers on them, so they're easy to identify. There are 3 or 4 short bolts that hold the outer steel cover plate to the main casting that can stay in. Some units (I believe it was the lower serial numbers) had 2 more bolts, one upper rear and one lower front, that went through the outer casting, and into the steel plate sandwiched between the casting and the tractor. If you have these, and remove them, the assembly will stay together because of the pump bolts, anyway.

All the other bolts need to be removed.
