While you have the rear freeze plug out it would be a great time to remove the lower rad housing an clean the little holes at the bottom of the sleeves if your plug is leaking i can just see the crud in the block at least that has been my experience.I find ones from COLO and FLA seem to be the worst one even had three of the four holes so tite i had to punch out with a long piece of steel found this after the sleeves were pulled. Yopu can call 888-683-2859 if you need more info.

YOu can get them at just about any auto store, so remove an old one, and take it to your neighborhood store.... But I think they are 1 1/2 inch, but don't quote me.

I took the one off my 46 A into NAPA and they gave me one for free. I guess they just had them laying around forever because they aren't like most modern freeze plugs.

Hi Everyone and thanks for the responses,
Actually mine was not leaking, but I was going to put in a new clutch and pressure plate so I decided to put a new freeze plug while I was in there. Preventive maintenance, you see! Anyway, I split the tractor and for all who might need to know for a future teardown, it is a 2" disc type plug. The convex side ) is facing out, and you smack it with something to expand it. I put sealer on it,just in case. Anyway, thanks again!
