A friend has a Farmall AV that he want to sell and I want to buy. Neither of us know what it is worth. It runs, has good rubber and fair sheet metal. It is still 6 volts. The light sockets are there, but the bulbs and lens are missing. The electric start and the hand crank both work for starting it.

Can anyone give me any idea what it is worth? We both would like to make it a fair deal.....

Just bought one two weeks ago on E-Bay. Good rear tires, fronts shot all rims good. 12 volt, new bat., all lights seal beams. Very good tin. Needs new seat. Runs sweet - no smoke or leaks. Good hydraulics. Front and rear culivators. $2500

There arn't any Hi-Crops here in Kansas so there wasn't any shopping around for me. 500 miles to Texas to pick it up.

Don't know where you are but I am sure if you are in an area where they are common they might be cheaper.

Brian,

Check out the following site, and contact Jay. He'd probably have a pretty good idea of values for high clearance A's.

Good luck

I bought a Super AV in November. I live in the Northeast where I am told that are somewhat rare. The sheetmetal was great, motor was stuck, all tires hold air but are weather cracked, was told everything was good when the tractor was parked a few years ago, and it has hydraulics, lights complete and intact, 6 volt with starter but no hand crank. I paid $1400 after some dealing with the old farmer. Not sure if I did good or not, but I wanted the Super AV versus A or Super A so I feel I did good.
