hello all, is there a way to check to see if the TA unit on a 300 U is working correctly or is in working condition, this is on a tractor that does not run but has all parts intact, I was wondering if it would be a big job to see if it is functioning, or functionable, thanks pat

If the tractor engine is not stuck, you should be able to check it. Put the torque handle up in high torque and see if the motor will turn backwards. If it does, its out. Old mechanics trick. Hope this helps.

Donnie your comment is correct but there is still a possibility that the gears, bearings clutch, and ppa might be worn to a point of replacement and will not perform correctly under load, just thought I would mention that.Paul.
