The metal line that goes into the rear of the head on my new Super M has been disconnnected at the head. I am guessing this is engine ventilation? If so I imagine that unfiltered air is entering the engine, great. . . . I will do what I can to reattach it tomorrow, unless it is unneeded. . .

It is needed MAKE sure you check the line to make sure it is not cloged with crap.I rebuilt the head on my M and had to replace the vent tube that went to the air cleane and the vent tube for the govener becouse of clogged and cracked tubes. If they are cloged they will do no good and may mess the moter up.
