Hard to believe he wants to trade this for a 7240 FWA.

I own a 1586 and a 7230 ( a long with a 1468) I love to hitting the ta on the 1586 and listening to the strait pipe wistle but I love the 7230 too even though it does say case in front of it ,it still is a great tractor and you shift it with a leaver not a computer button. anyway thats a very slick 5288.

I must say thats a nice 5288. But it depends what you want to do with your money. Have a showroom quailty tractor, or a newer workhorse? We've got a 5488 and a 7240 and the 7240s powershift is awesome. The 5488 is nice too, but the 7240 handles things, (like our Hinker 12r-saw yours in background) with ease-I never have to fight the implements across the field. Bottom line-Collector tractor or Farm tractor?

Looks like it was well cared for. As an old IH fan, I'd much rather have that over a newer case/IH.
Wish you were closer to me, I know a couple guys who would probably be interested in one in good shape.

180 hp and field ready, western intior and updated am/fm/weather radio, radials all around 16.9x26 front 18.4x42 dualled.
Thing is this is already more tractor than our 600 acres needs.
