I'm thinking of selling my 1937 F-12. It is an older restoration with a complete set of cultivaters and a hydraulic lift system. It is on full steel with a nice set of road bands on rear. I had the mag rebuilt last year and it starts easy and runs excellent. What would be a fair asking price for this tractor? Would I do better selling the cultivators seperately? I just don't have room for it anymore and have no way to haul it to shows so if its worth anything I may sell.

Selling cultivators seperately makes since to me. I mean, it just stands to reason that there would be more people out there looking for a set of cultivators to go on a tractor they already got, than there would be people looking to buy a tractor and set of cultivaters put together in a package deal. As far as money wise, I would say you would have no trouble getting over $1000 for the set up. How much more is what I don't know. I think the area you are in has a little to do with it. My advise is, decide what you will take first and foremost and then put it up for sell for more than that. Anybody that deals with you personally to buy it will more than likely try to get you to take less. If you sell seperately, I would sell cultivaters first, then sell tractor.

Well if you already know you want to get $2000 for it sounds to me like you have set a value for it and just need to put it up for $2500 and take $2000 if it is offered to you. You can put what ever price on it you like but it is only worth as much as someone will pay. And since yo don't owe anything on it you can sit on it for as long as you need. I say put the price tag on it and see if you get $2000. Good luck
Chad

If it were mine, I would strip off the cultivator, and any other accessories it may have, and sell those separately. I think the F-12 will bring as much all by itself as it would with the cultivator on it. The old tractor market seems to be a little soft right now, so you might want to wait. A good way to find the value would be to look for similar tractors in the classifieds here, and also on e-bay.

Much depends on what part of the country you live in. Around here, it would fetch around 3,000.

I'm in northeast Ohio. What part of the country are you referring to, because $3000.00 would almost certainly give this thing a new home.

I have my mag work done in Shilo, Ohio at Weavers Magneto Repair. He's good, reasonable, and ships U.P.S. You can also find him at a lot of old iron shows in Ohio. His phone is 419-896-2827 or 888-624-7732. He did my F-12 to original and also did a Wiko EK from a hit and miss engine with modern internal parts that are a lot more reliable and you can't tell from the outside. I was pleased with both.

I was hoping it would be worth somewhere closer to $2000.00. If I can only get $1500.00 I would probably just leave it where it is. Thanks

I have a 1937 Farmall F-12, bolt by bolt restoration and I can tell you that I would not even consider selling for 5,000.00. Are tractors not worth anything. This tractor I have looks like it came off the showroom floor.
