How many extra horses can I expect from putting oversized 3 3/16 firecraters in my A, which had standard bore flattop pistons??

No idea on an A, but IH claimed to get 36 "corrected" hp (vs about 25 stock) out of an H with domed pistons, a late gas head, larger carb jets, new advance curve for the distributor, and a higher lift cam (.240 vs .207).

I would guess if you do all that, you could see 40 to 50% increase in power. I have not done the carb or the distributor yet, but there is noticably more power now.

Greg
