hello all,. Hope your new yr is starting good, I have a quick question, I know we all have different tastes and preferences but also enjoy tractors all makes and models. I recently purchased a Utility INT 2400 with a loader, It was from a school district I think mainly used to plow their lots, and has a full surround cab, I am thinking of selling it, I find the cab to be cumbersome,,, I am thinking that if the cab was off it would sell easier, the whole tractor is in great shape, but with the cab I dont think it would be practical to be a woods tractor or all around tractor ,would a tractor with a cab be a selling point or a hinderance in the sale??, I just wanted to know your opinion, thanks pat

Personally, if it doesn't have air conditioning I don't want a cab. Cabs are nice in the winter, even without heat. But come summer time, no AC = no cab for me.

Pat: Most cabs of that era were great for a few years, but since they just plunked an open bottom cab over the tractor it was hard to keep the compartment insulated from noise. Early cabs were also very small. Once they became no longer tight, they were a collector of dirt rather than keeping dirt and dust away from you.

If someone is just going to sit in there and plow snow, it will work great to protect them from the elements of winter. Other than that it will seem like a cage. I had cabs that were roomy and new at time, but always wished I could set them to one side for summer. Sorry I can't give you answers only my thoughts from using.

Personally, I'd like a cab, would keep the sun off in summer when mowing, and keep the wind out when plowing in the winter. In terms of selling, I would think that the only deterent to a buyer would be that they would expect to have to pay more for the option.

My 2 cents.
