farmall 560 gas carb question

I recently purchased a 560 and when I put gas in the fuel line, the gas runs out the carb intake. I went to the Case dealer, and purchased a carb rebuild kit. When I got home, there were no gaskets in it. Don't I need to put a gasket in between the two halves of the carb when it goes back togeather and one between the carb base and the block? I would think there would be air leaks and the engine would run lean if I didn't. Any help appreciated.

IH makes two kits,a gasket kit and a rebuild kit.You will need both of them to have all the parts you need.I don't like the way they do it but it's been that way for years.

Thanks Chuck,
I found out too late. I called the Case dealer today and they will order the gasket set and have it here in a couple of days.
Took the carb apart and it looks pretty straight forward. Seems that the carb kit has more parts in it than my carb though!

Skip; I am surprised your dealer would have sold you a carb kit without making sure you had the gaskets. Generally there are three styles of carb kits. The complete/basic/economy. It sounds like you got the economy kit which is I believe the fuel valve and needle and a couple of other items.
Go back to your dealer and tell him/her that you want gasket# 31336D for the manifold & gasket #47388DA for the throttle body/fuel bowl. I have found that the after market kits, while they ARE functional, don't stand up compared to OEM kits. One thing is the OEM gaskets are much thicker and better quality. Post any other questions you might have.

Rebuilder, Thanks for the details and the part numbers. I will check them against the gasket set I ordered from my Case dealer today when they come in. I was going to make my own gaskets with gasket material but the manifold gasket looks like it also has some insulating qualities and the throttle body gasket has the "inner circle" that I think might be hard to duplicate unless Im in a bind. I now have a couple more questions I ran across today but I'll post them in the forum. Hope you get a chance to read them

Yes you are correct. You may need to purchase the gaskets separatly from the re-build kit.
