I have a 1946 McCormick-Deering W9 retro-fitted with a Perkins P6 diesel. It has wide fenders and a foot-decelerator. I want to know if these are factory fit or retro. Can anybody give me the dimensions of the WR9 factory-fit wide fenders and foot decelerator and the fixings so that I can check my tractor?

There is a picture of my WR9 under "tractor photos" to the left of this post. Do a search for "rice" and it should be the second down or so. My name is after it. It is a 1947

Nice photo, Roger. What tractor donated the hydraulics to your WR9 ?

Sorry I haven't answered before now. Usually do not go back on old posts.

The hydraulics came from a 600 or 650, I believe. Had to drill some holes and tap to mount the pump in the drive for the distributor. Gave it power steering as well from same tractor. Dad did it so I don't know the exact model donor.

Tony. I have a W9, WR9, and a SWD9 and each one has different fenders. I think all WR9s came with a hand clutch and foot-decelerator. To late to go to shop tonight for the parts book. Later Morgan

Thanks for the reply, MD. I need to know how the WR9 factory wide rice wings were attached to the standard W9 wings.

Tony, I assume by wings you mean fenders. The WR9 fenders did not attach to a W9 fender. They were one of a kind. The inside surface was vertical (straight up) and then the wide "flat" was spotwelded to the vertical. There were supports inside toward the tire for both pieces.
