IF SO IS IT GEAR DRIVEN OR ELECTRIC AND DOES IT OPERATE BOTH THE POWER STEERING AND THE BRAKES? IS THEIR A WAY TO CHECK THE PUMP TO SEE IF IT'S WORKING IF SO WHERE IS IT LOCATED. There is one pump, a mechanically driven gear pump that runs both implement hyd., steering and braking. Does the implement hyd. work right, fast/ slow? Maybe a gummed up filter. if implement is good and steering and braking is bad, the priority flow divider may be jammed. The flow divider makes sure you have a minimum preset flow to brakes and steering no matter what is happening with the implement hydraulics. Did you just change the hyd oil? May be full of air. The best laymans way to test pump output is to hookup to a implement, I don't think you want to buy the test relief valves and a 3000psi guage and hoses/fittings for one job. Give us somemore info on your problem, I have a 706 shop manual here.

Sorry my mistake, there are two pumps on this model. One pump supplies steering braking and ta. Do you have steering? I don't think the tractor will even move if you don't have pump output to the ta.
