I am in the process of a re-build on my Farmall "A". I am in need of a couple of springs inside the Governor can someone tell me where I may find some, or have them made?

If you want to zip it up a little you can use 240 governor spring. It works great. There is another spring in the governor but it is used for stabilization of engine rpm. It is a little coil spring that goes in from the bottom. It would be unusual for this one to need replacing. Have fun..... I Have(IH)....!!

There is only one spring in there. Your local IH dealer has them. Seems like they are about $5 or so. Mine has them on the shelf.

I am amazed at what they have in inventory. I think I am one of about 10 guys in the area messing with these old things, and they seem to have it all there. In the rare event they don't have it, they can have it in about three days. Prices are much better there too compared to places like OEM tractor parts and some of the other resto places. Try them, you will be surprised.

Have you tried your friendly, local CNH dealer?
