Looking for 2 1206's that were sold at family sale way back in 1978. I know this is next to impossable but worth a shot. they were sold in southern minnesota. Any info would be helpful.

Here is one just bought!

It has a pic too, the # is a6922.jpg. Just do a search on 1206's, there is a bunch of them.

As mentioned try and find the auction company that held the sale.Visit close neighbors that still live in the area and that would have been at the sale.

Run a want ad in the local newspaper or in an area farm paper seeking info on these tractors.Give the exact sale date and location.

Visit tractor collectors in that area and find current 1206 owners in that area. They may know something.I'm a 1206 buff as I farm with 2 of them so I know about almost every 1206 for 50 miles around me which is (26) right now.

Knowing the serial #'s would sure help.Good luck.Someone out there knows something.Hopefully they havent been junked.Red Reaper on the Redpower forum recently tracked down his grandpas old 1206.He lives in NE Missouri and he found the tractor in a junk yard in Iowa with enough still left to build around it.He already has it running.

Bags, is there a possibility that the auctioneer is still around? They often keep records of sales and the names of registered bidders. My uncle kept his farm sale record from 1959 and I was going through his stuff, named every person and what article they bought and the price. There is always a soft spot in me for people trying to find a tractor that was once in the family, I still have my Dad's 1940 M and I know what it means to me..... .good luck in your search....Mike in Exeter Ontario

There is a fellow who is making a list of all the 1206's he's come across, so far I think he has around 150 tractors listed. If you know the serial numbers of the ttwo you're looking for contact me and I'll try to find his e-mail address. Hope this helps. Pat in Wisc
