I have heard with my 460 Utility there is a pin somewhere that will allow the rear fasthitch to be raised but when lowered it just floats on the ground with no down force.

I think that would prove more useful than downforce when pushing snow.

Anybody know?

Mike It has been long time for me but the pins Allen is talking about are more for plowing there should be a pin in the cylinder I think at the bottom you can remove and it will let the fasthitch flote should be able to retract the cylinder all the way and not but down pressure on the hitch. That a look.

Mike,

It has been a lot of years, and I'm going by memory here.

In front of the locks, there is a pin running horizontally thru the two points on each receiver arm (actually, there are two pins on each side; one pin for the arm to pivot on and one to lock it into place). The lock pin has a 'snap ball' on one end to hold it in place and a heavy wire type 'loop handle' on the other.

Pull these lock pins and that hitch will float.

Hope I've made this clear....

Allan

Ummm, could be wrong on this, but I don't think that your 3 point hitch will exert down pressure. Few do.

Ben, Mike said Fasthitch different than 3 point. With it locked solid will lift the back wheels off the ground. "Mike" what Alan said is the way to let it float.
