I was running my 350 utility today and it just stopped running. theres gas to the carb and 12 volts to the coil but not much of any spark Any ideas? Don

If you cant find what is wrong by checking all the thing's in the one's before mine. Send me a email and I will give you a call if you send me your ph.# Most likely a loose wire or short some where.

I had a 544 once that would do that and about the third time I found the problem one of the little wires on the coil apeared to be tight but it wasn't and it would break conection.

if you havent checked the points,do that FIRST.the rub block may have worn to the point that they wont open.KISS keep it simple !!!!!

Donald: I tend to agree with Dick on this one, either distributor cap or terminals on it.

Loose wire to plug or coil or cap. Broken, dirty, corroded rotor cap or rotor. Bad coil (rather unlikely) I'd check for wire loose or corroded. My nickel, Dick Davis - Merry Christmas

Check the plugs,, they may be bad,, the rotor button may be shorted,, the coil may have burned up,, Ignition switch may have went south,, just start by a process of elimination,, start with coil,, then the points, then the rotor, then the cap, the wires and the plugs may recheck the switch too,, got to be one of those things,, Hope this helps,, ChadS
