Do the Super H and the 350 have the same camshaft? If they don't would I gain any HP by putting a 350 cam in my Super H? Thank you

They are the same. only difference in the Super H and the 300 and 350 engines were the bore size. (internal parts) Go back a page or two in this forum and look at "300" posted by Gramps,, I left a post about getting a few more HP out of H-450 ,,Might find it interesting,, Chad

ChadS, I have a late serial number H. Is that cam different than the Super H through 350 cams?

No they are not the same. the SH-350 were the last cam change in that engine series,, the late H's had the stage 3 cam,, the had 3 cam grinds for the H,, (early)up to 44? then from 44 to 47, then 47 to 52. then the SH-350 had a cam of their own too, for a total of 4. The SH will help a H engine probably a good 2-3hp difference,, set the governor up for a 350 utility rpm specs and it will help it a lot too,, Hope this helps Chad

Thanks for the info, 2 or 3hp might make all the difference. Think I'll get SH cam and buy a copper head gasket, getting my 8043head milled in the machine shop right now. If you your interested in selling me a thin gasket or you know some one else who makes them my E-Mail is schoenbein@a5.com
