My dad and I own a 140 with a fast hitch and at times it would be good to have a little more front end weight besides the front wheel weights. Would attaching the bumper or something similar and hanging IH front weights be recommended? How is the bumper attached to the tractor? Has anyone have ideas of adding front end weight to the 140?

I am trying to locate either the one point IH tool bar or one point hitch corn planter for a 140. Any help out there?
Thanks

Kirk, Did you ever find a picture of how the bumper mounts to a 140. I would be interested in seeing it if you did. Thanks Ramon

Kirk, The 'bumper' is attached to the front of the bolster? I haven't looked at my 140 lately. Check this link and see if this is what you are looking for, there are 2 pics on the second page of the link and one on the first page.

Kirk: I've planted a good many acres of corn with 130 and two different corn planters, on one point fast hitch I had an IH with 250 lbs dry fertilizer and each seed hopper held a bushel. I currently have a John Deere planter basically same setup. I don't even use wheel weights. I also have a sprayer that holds 60 gallons. I quite often fill it and go spraying.
