Our 3588 has an engine serial number beginning with DT 467. Is this correct? Why 467 instead of 466? Second, where is a good source to find service manuals for this tractor? Seems like good, used manuals are better than the new copied ones.

..... .dan, hi..... ...if you want a used manual, you can search ebay(they have quite a few available)..... ....if you want one that you can read, go to binder books dot com..... ...best wishes, bill

..... oh, happy holidays to all the fine people here..... .

yes the 467 is a 466 cu motor the real only difference between the two was the upgraded camshaft, it had wider lifters and larger cam foller surface, they also made a 468 motor but as far as i know they were only used in the automotive industry, they also change the bearings were they sit in the block on the 468's.
why would you say that a used manual is better than a new copied one? do the grease smears from a mechanics dirty hands and torn pages give more info than clean & straight pages? just wondering, unless i'm missing something.
