does anyone have pictures of Blades made by IH? I bought a blade today that looks like it would work real good on a C. It has some red paint on it but no other markings. It is 7 foot wide and is made to pivot and has feet so it don't dig into the dirt.

Cowman: By your description it sounds very much like the blade my dad had for his 31 loader on the H. I think that blade could mount a number of ways on different tractors. The angling positions will have 5 holes or positions. The shoes for keeping it from digging are adjustable by use of thick washers or spacers on shaft that holds shoe on. Under the angleing mechanism there is a dual coil spring for breakaway protection. It is really just a larger version of the SA blade. They were a 5' blade. If my memory serves me correctly, I think IH had 5', 6', 7' and 8 foot blades, basically all the same design. These blades could all be mounted on loaders or similar to the way SA blade goes on. If you look in photo gallery Paul Shulner has one on his Super C mounted in similar way to a SA blade.

Would you give the section and title of the photo of Paul Shulners Super C with the snow blade? I couldn't find it doing a search on "Paul Shulner".

Thanks,

Dave

Dave: The way in which I have done this is search for Super C rather than a persons name. I just tried it, go to top of page, click on Farmall, then Farmall photo gallery, then in the search box where it says Farmall just add Super C, 3 pages will take you to Paul's tractor.

Hugh, that sure sounds right. I couldn't find the picture. I will try to post pics of mine tomorrow. the holes where it pivots just has a bolt in it and that can't be right. The mounting plates appear to be adjustable with locking bolts sticking up on top of the cross arm.

Cowman: I just found Paul's tractor, this is how I do it. Go to top of page, click on Farmall, then click Farmall photo gallery, then type in Super C after the word Farmall in search box. Pauls tractor is in 3rd page.

Cowman: Just going through some old IH literature this morning. I came across in 1968 buyers guide a blade very similar called a model 400 available in 72" and 78" widths. They show this blade as being available for use on 1501 and 1701 loaders. These were relatively light loaders still around when the 2000 and 2001 first came out.
