My wife is usually involved with any purchase I make over $100.00,and I don't even have a credit card anymore. I found most places still accept cash, If I can't afford to pay for it ,I save until I can. We don't always agree on every thing and my next tractor will come with a new Washer and Dryer. John.

Known as the spousal equivalent tax. Mrs. Red said if I buy a Bobcat skidsteer, there will be a 15'x28' sunroom added to the back of the house. So I am going to take my time on that purchase!

Guys, bought a NI #8 Manure Spreader on e-bay. Wife drove from Alabama to Indiana with me to pick it up. Had to listen to the #1 item on her list of my ten most stupid things all the way there. When she saw the spreader the first words out of her mouth were "We're going to get this restored and done right". One beautiful antique spreader is sitting in the barn and she will not let me put you know what in it. My H cost me a antique quilt, I can not take it out of the barn if there is any mud about. She will let me drive it to the mailbox to pick up the newspaper.

Yep, 'bout a year ago I saw a tractor advertised, mentioned it to my wife, she said before I get another project I gotta build her something. So now I got a '29 Model A Tudor sittin' in the garage to build up for her.

Solved that problem and almost any other marriage problem 11+ years ago. My second marriage was to a "Traditional" girl from the Philippines. When I come home from work, I find the mail arranged on the kitchen table with my reading glasses and a letter opener. She won`t open anything even if it has her name on it unless it is from her family back home. If I bring home a load of "old iron" from some junk yard, she is right there to help unload it. Life is good!

I just saw my own bill. It is scary, and I didn't buy nothin' either. Mostly postage and gasoline. Like they say, "It takes money to make money"

Kelly, How bad did Mrs C. Blow her Rods, Mains, and Head gasket. Sound like a Overhaul Kit might be in order for her. Jewelry,Pearls,Gold necklace or earrings usually make good Overhaul Kits for wives.
Looks like you will be mechanicing all over your place this winter. Have fun! Later,
John A.
