I recieved a follow-up that said "Bob M" would answer this question. We need to know how to wire the remy delco alternator to convert the Farmall C from a 6 volt to a 12 volt. Help.

Judy,

I recently converted my C from 6 to 12 volts (following Bob's excellent directions). My biggest challenge was fabricating an appropriate mounting bracket for the alternator. I've got pictures of the bracket and how it all hooked up if you'd like them. Feel free to email me for 'em.

Bob M already answered your question -- he wrote a article and drew a schematic and posted on this site so you could find it. Just click the link below, and you should find everything you need.

Also, it's Delco Remy, the Dayton Electric Company bought out the Remy Brothers, who worked about 20 miles north of where I'm sitting. We locals are a bit sensitive about that.
