Rocker Rebuild

I'm on my first rebuild of an 45 H. I pulled the head off to get the valves reground, was woundering if there is anything I should look for on the rockers that might need rebuilt while i'm there. Dont know what to look for there not loose and where getting good oil. any suggestions would be nice thanks.

Look for excessive play on the roker shaft,, Look at the tops of the valves and the contact point where the lash is set,, Those are the only 2 places I think to check. Hope this helps,, ChadS

If the pad that rides on the tip of the valve is all grooved up let me know and I can put you in contact with my old boss in chambersburg Pa. It's a case kubota dealer and they actualy have a sioux valve grinding machine that also does old style rocker arms. I did mine on that machine on a couple tractors and it was great. As far as I know it is very rare for someone to be able to do this anymore. NOBODY in this area can.

I've got an old Black and Decker valve grinding machine that has the ability to do the same thing, I just haven't figured out yet how it works.
