Does this outfit take a longtime to answer emails? I live in canada where their 1 800 number doesn't work, so i sent them an email. No responce after a week. Are they usually good to deal with??

Mark:

I live in Dieppe NB, and the 1-800 don't work here either. I called the non-toll free number and was almost immediately connect with a human being and not a recorded message. Asked for a catalogue, and got one within a week. Yesterday the 2004 catalogue arrived.

I have heard nothing but good stuff, so I am probably going to order a few items from them as I get into Jethro's restoration.

Mark, I have bought from O.E.M. on several occasions, and have found them overall to be honest and competitive, and quality you would expect from an OEM company. I did receive one item that was not the quality it was intended (stripped threads), but that wasn't O.E.M.'s fault. When I brought it to their attention more than six mos. after the purchase, they offered to make it right, so I have no complaints there. While I have their catalog, I prefer to talk by phone if there is any question as to application. I once suggested that since they carry the original type coils that they carry the bracket since aftermarket brackets don't work. I notice they are now carrying coil brackets. Recently I bid on a couple of items on E.Bay that they posted and gwon the bid at a price significantly less than catalog price. When I called them to make shipping arrangements, they charged me only actual freight, and not what was posted on E.Bay which saved me even more money. So I guess that unless they show otherwise, I find them good people to do business with. I will say that their web-site needs a lot of work. They say they're working on it. I notice they have added a lot of items to their newest catalog.

I too have also had mixed results with them. But their parts do seem to be good quality.

Usually only 2 rings. I have had no problem with them, except that they didn't send the rivets with my last serial tag. What I like about them is they use IH part numbers, just give them the mumber and they can tell you if they have it.

I have ordered stuff from them in the past, with mixed results. (lost order, so I had to reorder the parts). Best way to order is to call between 8-4p.m.(central) If they were totally "online", they would really make the bucks.
