Did the Cub use a Continental engine?

I agree with Bigdog, but a couple of years ago I was discussing Cubs with a gentleman and the use of Continental engine use in Cubs was brought up. A few minutes into the conversation he told me "Continental engines were the only engines the Cub tractor used and your ignorance is showing too much to talk about this any more". End of that conversation.

Marlin,

He may have got this mistaken idea from the little IH power units that used a Continental before the Cub engine became available. Of course the Continental was never used in the Cub.

Thats ok George, I've been called worse. Kind of on the same subject, I won a man's house and 10 acres of land one time on a bet. He bet me they didn't make a Cub engine without sleeves. NO!!! I didn't take his house.

No, it used the IH C-60 engine. The only flathead in the IH line.
