I have a '46 H and I believe it is suppose to be IH 50. I am wondering what the colro difference is between 2150 and 50. I have a '49 C I restored and used 2150. I also have a 52 Super C that will get 2150 also some day. Just windering how much the H will look different with a different color.

IH 50 was the color that came on both your tractors. IH started using 2150 in the "late 50's" according to Guy Fay, I would guess about the time the 460/560 series appeared, but don't quote me on that. 2150 has sort of an orange tint to it. I believe 50 is a brighter red, although I have heard the other way around. Speaking only for PPG 2150 (PPG 71310), it is a little too orange for me, I going to use 50 next time. You cannot buy 50 from Case-IH.
